WTF is up with me? I'm at CAX ... hundreds of games I DO NOT OWN around me ... yet I found myself gravitating toward the titles I ALREADY FREAKIN' OWN! I bet at least 1/2 of the vids I played I own a copy of at home. Huh?

yeah, i played a few that i did not own, like playing timber only to find it's something that i don't think i'd ever own. i mostly played the tempests and robotrons, and a bunch of blaster on evb's blaster duramold, oh, and sea wolf and warlords.

you know, i think you and i (or someone else) talked about this, but i usually tend to play the games i own, cause those are the games i enjoy. i would've liked to get in on some other games while there, but it was hard to get on a game when there were like 2 billion people hogging them all. the easiest ones to play were the ones with multiples.

The only games I own that I played at the Seattle show were the ones with High Score save kits in them. I tried to send Dokert's Moon Patrol home with my name on the high score board.

Yep I played around 10 games while I was at CAX. I had more fun hanging out with folks than I did playing games.. I was happy to get my Quantum fill besides that games didnt do much for me..

I played ZK and Paperboy the most. Yep, own both. Ive been to enough CAX's now that I dont really go to play the games. I go to hang out and BS with everyone.

>ding ding ding ding ding<

Jow's the winnah!

Hell... I could probably not buy tickets and enjoy myself as much just hanging out with the guys in the hotel/bar.

Haha, maybe I won't bring games next year and just flip everything on at the house.

The Sea Wolf was awesome. I would really like to have one of those things.

I mostly gravitated towards Sea Wolf. And finally rolled it:cool: It's one of my faves and I could play it without bumping elbows, since it was all by it's lonesome out there.

On the other hand... my old standby, MC, was a victim of interior "curve pinch" between frogger and p. pacman:mad: Not too enjoyable when someone's elbow/arm is in your play space. Also, trev, loosen up that right firing button a bit;)

So, all in all, played alot of sea wolf in day and a half... well worth an 8 hour drive and expenses:D

My only request...

BEEF next time.

;)

Thanks again Eric... you and your family are some of the nicest folks... your neighbors too.

:D

you finally rolled it? was that sunday after we left? i would've loved to be there and see it.

I had a NY steak for you. Well next time burgers steak and sea food. :D

Yes you did... but I refuse to be "that guy". You know... the douchebag who HAS to be difficult. Screw that. I eat what is served. That is what my momma taught me.

:D

Hehe, "That Guy" might take offense to that remark.
Na, it would not have been a problem. I got two and only cooked one on Saturday. You missed out because it was seriously tender and good. I guess I'll have to cook that sucker up this weekend. :D

No worries... I got to eat something I'd never eaten before in my life (Oysters)... something I'd not eaten in 20+ years (Salmon) and something I've not eaten in 5+ years (Shrimp)...

:D

WTF? Mix in some seafood, son.

That's what happens when you live in a state that doesn't touch an ocean.

No... I just am not a fan of Seafood. I WORKED ON THE WATER (literally... at Driscoll's Warf in San Diego... I could see across the harbor to North Island from my desk) for years... had tons of sea food coming in ... didn't much like any of it.

I just don't like the taste. Trust me. I wish I did... life would be much simpler... I just don't. And taste isn't something you can "change" easily...
