Gravitar, screwy picture, I tried the controls on the board, dont seem to help, If I put it in self test cross hatch, it shows up for a second all screwed up then disapears, not shure if this is board or monitor

First, check your yoke.

2nd, try swapping in another AVG chip if you've got one...

AVG CHIP? I will check the yoke now, I checked the caps on the deflection board, could bad caps in the high voltage do this? Thanks for the help

AVG = analog vector generator

It's a common failure and can cause weird graphics issues....

I checked the yoke, it was a bit loose and was not pushed up against the rubber stops, pushed it up against the stops, no real change, I will have to wait till morning to get a space duel board to try, Maybe i will try re seating the chips till then, Thanks again for the help.

Good call on the AVG chip. Also reseat the edge connector. I had a Gravitar that would put out a pic like that every once in a while. Reseating the edge connector would fix it. -M

The instant I saw the pic that you posted with the rotation and the wonky colors (the terrain should be all green (no blue or red lines), I instantly thought "gotta be the yoke". If it moves, the colors go out the window and rotation and other aspects of the geometry is affected. If your yoke wasn't sitting against the rubbers, then it has definitely moved so you need to go through the entire rotation, purity, convergence procedure. Nothing you do on the board will fix or compensate for that.
