I just got hold of a Gravitar which has some monitor issues. The blue is very dim and needs to be boosted right up. The image is a little blurry too (though I need to play with the setup as I really didn't get time to look at it yet) but the main thing is it takes quite some time to warm up and display anything (maybe 5-10 mins).

Any thoughts as to what this could be?

There is a focus nob on the back of the High Voltage cage that you can adjust to try and get the blurriness out. There is also a Blue drive pot on the neck board that you can adjust to try and correct the blue level. If blue is up all the way, you can try turning red and green down to compensate. If you do the latter, you may have to adjust the brightness too.

The tubes can take a while heat up when crap builds up on the heater element. Rejuvenating the tube is always an option. I would do everything else first though.

Try all adjustments mentioned above. If that doesn't help much, you can cap the monitor if it has not been done recently. Last would be the rejuv of the tube.

The monitor manual will show you were all of the adjustments are that you need. They should be labeled on the monitor as well, but are sometimes are to find or read.
