Hey all,
Before I post, price police be gone. I know its too expensive but we all know the guy selling it is trying to make a living. But its just such a damn good looking machine I thought I should post it cause someone might want to see it. I do love the photo negative cabs. Got a whole collection of cab pics that are the wrong collors. And most look pretty good. Anyways. here it is.

I just want to know if this is original or a repaint.

Original? Pfffhhhh not even close. Black is one of those things that you can hide anything with. RLEVIN has ruined a classic - that sucks. Do that to a JAMMA cab anytime but to take a classic cabinet and desecrate it like this - nah wrong answer.

C'mon Dale - at least hire someone to restore them correctly or leave them alone and sell them as is. Dale seems to do this quite a bit. Must have gotten a really good deal on black paint recently lol.

i like to see things as close to original as possible, that said, with all the multi games and multi art being plastered all over classics lately this is pretty tame in comparison.

I really love Gravitar as a game, but I'd have to say the black does not quite work here. (In my opinion). The seller should have gone with the original white.

Man, aint that the truth...

So many times you see pics of black cabs and think the game looks to be in very good condition. Then you see it in person, and it's like "What the hell happened between the time I saw the pics and I got here?!"

I have seen Asteoids come in white and black and I am pretty sure that was from the factory. I also know galaga came in white and black just like DK comes in red and blue. Plus I have pics of a qbert(and Centipede IIRC) in black thats pretty sweet. Personally, I like it. I think the graphics really pop. Although I respect those who would rather see it original.

The joystick on the centipede really kills it for me though. ;)

Wow, good catch, missed that one I guess... But a trackball would look pretty sweet backlit in green neon on it.

They did a really nice multicade job on it. It also looks like Phet has been giving some private T-molding classes or something. If a centipede has to be a multicade, it is at least easy on the eyes.

I did a black Donkey Kong once.

I think it looks kinda cool, but yeah black is used to usually hide imperfections, and the purist in me is screaming in agony.

As a big Gravitar fan, I gotta say, it just doesn't work. Not sure why, maybe the lines around the sides of the sideart, Hmmm. Now, maybe if it had some pink t-molding. :)
