i bought this at the york pa pinball show this fall. was told the bottom of the game was replaced as a disclaimer by the seller. he wanted me to know it was not original, must have been flooded or something, hahahaha (sinister laugh) we all know better here at klov, little piece of history, this makes this game more valuable to me, more story to it! now i can say i own a part of edot!

Nope thats original and I think you know that. It was common to see game partical board or wood be recycled like that from the factory at Midway after a game run.

Midway did this a lot and Williams just repainted over art at the end of runs and recycled the cabs. There are many Robo/Joust cabs where 2 paint jobs are layered.

I have no issue with them recycling parts and using scrap, but I don't think they should have used particle board for bottom panels.

I need to look at the bottom of my baby pac, but I think I would have noticed that when I loaded it in my murano.

Maybe I should find a EDOT and make a bottom from it! :D

How many G&TG and SH sitdowns are there? Are the majority of them made from former EDOTs?

I wonder if Disney had some sort of agreement that if they licensed a 2nd game, B/M had to produce xxxx units. This game came out almost a year and a half after the movie and a year after the first game. You had to figure B/M knew they would only be able to move so many units. What were they, ~ $4000 at the time? That's over $9,000 in today's market. I'm curious if B/M just fabricated all the cabs and left them empty until there were orders. Considering both UDOT and EDOT spare boards (both main and all auxillary boards) are fairly uncommon today, either they were never made, are being hoarded or they buried them all next to the 2600 E.T. carts.

yup this is how it goes, so many parts of my 90's games are parts of other games. I've seen a bunch of Killer Instinct Cabinets with blem Killer Instinct panels on the inside of the machine

I've had a couple games that had little pieces of EDOT in it, it was some bottom pieces where the levelers went. I had little Terminator heads on the bottom of my T2, I didn't even notice it till I sold it and we got it loaded in the guys truck.

I once encountered a Spy Hunter with a bottom made from a Spy Hunter side panel. IIRC, someone here had some game that had pieces from a ST:TNG pinball.

One of my pac games has a mspac sideart bottom. I think its my pacland but honestly I cant remember for sure. I do remember its only partially screened.
