Grandview, MO Nov 27

Yep, website says Saturday 11/27, postcard says Sunday 11/27. Probably a typo on the postcard. I sent UA an email and awaiting response just to be sure. If its Saturday, count me in.

Looking forward to my first one if I can get up early enough (on the mid shift). Any tips/tricks for first timers?
Yes.

Tip #1 - Don't bid against me!
Tip #2 - Bid too much for anything I bring!
Tip #3 - Have fun!

ya, i'm going. would crawl over broken glass to go with all the deals to be had. last time it was a shellacking for the sellers, many games sold for under a hundred, seventy five, 50 even...

i'll be wearing my black ACTIVISION shirt, so come on over and say hi

yes they have pinballs, generally they sell for what they are worth
deals can be had for sure

i have a little room for those that might need to store something for a few weeks, if you buy too many for your ve hicle...

Do they ever have any decent pins show up at this one? Also, has this been confirmed for saturday and not sunday?

Yeah, they emailed me and said Saturday. No explaination of why my card says Sunday.

They usually have a handful of pins, and seems like they work most of the time. I heard one caught fire at the last auction, but I wasnt there so I dont know the story behind it.

Anyway if you check their website the night before, they usually put a list up, so you can decide for yourself if its worth the trip.

I'd invite you along for the ride, but I have my family with me and were leaving Friday to visit relatives in Bonner Springs. Maybe Ill see you there, if you decide to go.

it was a MATA HARI that caught fire

the 2 hours people have to "test" the games before the auction, there was no problem.
then, when they get to that section of games they put up for auction, they turn that "row" on and thats when it started smoking real bad
people started laughing and i dont blame them there was so much smoke
frigging belching smoke right when the auctioneer was saying his chants right there !

i didnt see any flames but i never saw so much smoke even from one of those smoke machines !

just remember that many of the games are "auction ready"
seen many times operators fixing the games right up to and during the auction

the auction is well worth the effort. many, many deals and so what if its broke, fix it !

Thanks for the offer. If I'm able to go, I will take my truck just in case. I wouldn't mind getting a buck hunter game if I can get one cheap enough as I have a future deal on a GnR pin coming up and trying to hang on to the money.

If you go, bring those seat parts (if you still have them), I can finally get them out of your way.

Now that I think about it, I may be after something similar. Let's get together at the auction so we dont end up bidding against each other. Dont know if Ill be wearing this getup, but heres a recent photo.

I'll look for you. I'll probably be in a brown New Belgium beer t-shirt.
