A quick 45 min drive just yielded #1 on my want list! Details & pics later tonight. Woo hoo!

I wasn't supposed to let the cat out of the bag, but he ended up actually picking up TWO grails...

Eat your heart out everybody! ;)

I definitely got "sloppy seconds" on this barfly... :)

Sounds like ICB....

Yep...that's what it is. Unloaded and in the garage...fixing dinner right now and I'll take pics and post them after I get my daughter to bed later tonight. Wife has the late shift at the hospital so I'm solo with my little girl tonight.

Congrats. Can't wait to see pics and read the rest of the story. Man, what's up with all the ICB's lately? Seems as if every few days I'm reading about someone picking one up. I will have one someday...

Here are some pics... machine is in the garage now and the lighting isn't the best.

This machine was previously owned by an ex-operator, he had a coin-op route 20+ years ago and he pulled this machine out of his route after about 1-2 years and it has been in his basement ever since. It was the last machine he kept and it got played quite a bit over the years, but it was kept up pretty nice.

The belts were shot, ball wasn't the original, and the artwork needs replacing. The wood base should likely be replaced as well, and the coin door is missing the left coin return cover. New t-molding will be needed. Will need to repaint the coin door too, and while I'm at it I'll probably go ahead and strip the old woodgrain off (has quite a few nicks and the edges are bad in several places), bondo where needed, and put new woodgrain vinyl on. Will do the same with the black vinyl on the front.

Now the good news: game works fine, no water damage, joysticks are good, and the playfield is *REALLY* nice. I think a little Novus on that playfield and it'll look gorgeous.

Since I've wanted one of these for a while, I'm going to make it look really nice before it goes downstairs to join the rest of the gang. And it gets bumped to the front of the line of my projects... :)

You must have bought the Star Wars chair.

You know, if I lived only a short drive from it, I'd probably go ahead and get it just because of the KLOV "status" and oddity of the darned thing.

I think it'd be cool if a collector local to where it is buys it, keeps it a month, and then sells it at the same price to a collector just a little west of him...then we keep doing that every month until it reaches the west coast and it gets shown at CAX every year thereafter (or heck, just continues to make a trip around the country). Each person that has it takes pictures in it and puts them in a box inside the chair...just nutty enough to be interesting, but everyone participating would have to be fairly trustworthy.

I've never played this game, but I really want one. Such a different and cool idea. Congrats on your score!!
