any ideas out there on removing graffiti off a control panel without damaging or marring the control panel overlay??. any chemicals out there that could possibly do this. any help would be super. thanks

Warm water and magic eraser. I took Sharpie off of a CPO the other day with it....

that didnt leave any scuff marks?? i was thinking of using the magic eraser but thought it would do damage.

If you scrub your ass off you could eventually rub a spot through the clear coating, or even scuff it enough.

So, uses light but firm pressure and try it. Or just buy a new overlay...

It would depend on what was used to graffiti the panel, spray paint, sharpies, etc.
Home Depot sells "graffiti remover" and works great
any chemical you use though may fog the polycarborate
be sure to test on small areas underneath the panel.
if fogging occurs the panel could be clearcoated to bring it back.

You can get something call "motzenbockers(sp) graffitti remover" at big box stores. I've used it on a Xevious control panel glass, and it works. It is very mild, so it takes plenty of elbow grease.

I've also used Goof-Off-2 on a CPO. It cleaned it wonderfully without hurting the overlay. It is also water based.
