I have very fond memories of Battlezone from my youth. Vector games always were a draw for me, but Battlezone's unique controller and its requirement to get your face into the periscope really made for unique and immersive experience. I was excited to pull the trigger on purchasing one from a fellow KLOV'er back in July of 22 and had it shipped, which was also a first for me. @TheNickDuong also purchased a game from the same guy, so we split the shipping and had them delivered to his place. They arrived safely later that month.

However, upon powering on it didn't work. Bummer! I really wanted to play it before putting it in temporary storage while I readied grade8arcade, and with my noob optimism figured I'd have it fixed and blowing up tanks by Christmas of 2022. So into storage it went.... Little did I know then that I'd be waiting over 3 years before it was playable!

I finally had grade8 ready to receive my games in early February of 2023 and moved it in along with all the others. Over the next two years I made a couple of feeble attempts at troubleshooting it, but seemed to get easily distracted by other projects. This last summer, I picked up two additional vectors; Omega Race and Space Duel. At the same time, I picked up another Battlezone to store for @fatherpain (he outed himself here, LOL), see below.

I think having this additional Battlezone here provided needed motivation. At the same time, I finally got around to doing a "light" restore and repairs of my Pole Position (separate thread on that later), so I was feeling a bit more confident that perhaps I could get my BZ running.
