Grabs so far this year, would like to see other collectors as well.

1000000790.jpgTime crisis 1

Picked these up in a trade for a separate cab of mine this month. Original side art on the mk1, just redid the panel/marquee light and some wiring.

Bit of elbow grease but got them both going right.

$10 on FB Marketplace. Nice to find someone who wasn't trying to sell their "rare, valuable" 19" TV for $100. Dude was just trying to clean out his garage. I haven't opened it up yet to see the tube model but I've had very good luck on late-90s TVs being drop-in compatible with K7000s, so I think my chances are pretty good this will be useful.

I used to buy up all of the 19" TVs I could find back when Goodwill still sold them, many times for only $1. Then laws were passed to make recycling or reselling them illegal. (By retailers)

Sucks that that came about.

I keep an eye on Marketplace and have snagged several 19 and 25" TVs with good tubes for $10-30. I also posted in my neighborhood Facebook group that I was looking for them and got 3 for free that way.

First time seeing one of these. A coin operated bottle opener.
That's cool!
The Pepsi machine at the hospital in my home town had something like that built in. Around 1975-80? But I think it was older than that. It was weird because the normal manual opener was right there too. I've never seen another motorized bottle opener until now. I think it was 25 cents for the soda and 10 cents to use the "motor hole". Haha! I hadn't thought of that name since I was a kid.

Not motorized. The nickel must actuate a lever that then retracts

Huh. I guess that's why it's only a nickel! :ROFLMAO:

As I recall, you put the bottle top against a pin in the motor hole and there was a square thing that would close on the bottle neck like a cardbox box when you squeeze the corners. I can't remember if that moved inward to pull the cap off or if the pin pushed outward. Either way, the end result was to bend the cap in the middle. When it worked the cap would come off completely, or at least you could flick it off with your thumb. But it took practice to make it work consistently.

Hmm...almost like a stealth EM game!

Sorry about the pics, I keep getting image upload size to big warning when posting from an iPhone, so I have to take a picture of the actual photo to upload, lol, same old stuff different day.

Snagged this on offer up from an old timer that got it from someone else, he knew nothing about it, for a $100. the other day. It's missing the cardboard bezel, plexi and top plexi retaining metal piece. The cab is in good shape with a few minor repairable scuffs and some paint splatter on the left side, the joysticks are shot and are flopping all over the place. The coin door has been drilled for a on/off switch and it's also missing a reject button, but I have a couple of spare doors. It could also use a good cleaning.

Haven't really messed with it yet other than checking the voltages on the audio regulator which are fine, it has 5.1v on the main board. The deflection board wasn't hooked up and it has two blown fuses. The red wire on deflection wasn't hooked up (pictured) and an alligator clip jumper wire was connected only to the deflection board with the other end dangling. I'm guessing it's not in working order.

The metal horizontal top support on the monitor frame was taken off for some reason but did come with the game. The tube wasn't affixed to the cab so I removed it for transport.

I haven't had I new game in probably six years so it'll be a good little project to work on.

Today's Grabs.

The color vector brick was still in the widow cabinet, and the marble madness works

You're the same guy who keeps saying he's out of funds, and, space, right? Have you become an employee of Phet's Phavors?
Lots of horse trading going on 😉

I am outta space though, for real, until I get another room habitable (soon™️). Got a half dozen keeper machines packed into the garage.
