Grabs so far this year, would like to see other collectors as well.

Need some gameplay pictures of Side Trak!

Thanks for posting the Side Trak video...I love most of the early Exidy games, but I don't think I ever saw this one BITD (or since). Sure wish I knew of one closer to my location that could maybe come to CA Extreme.

It is on the BitKit so I'll have to give a whirl that way.

How do the controls work? Is the joystick used for shifting the tracks and then the button speeds your train up?

It's weird, so you control the intersections with the stick, and you can speed up the train with the "fast" button.
When the game speeds up, it becomes very hard to control.

my buddy says its been in mame for a while. listed as a 1984 tecfri game from japan . he sent me screen shots. looks interesting..
It was normally found as a conversion game outside of Japan, and Italy was where it really saw any success. I bought the cabinet as a multicaded Karateco "Super Double" which I thought would be the most perfect candidate for this type of game, seeing as it's a cabaret, it's European, and it's got a wacky form factor.

All of the parts in this build are of European origin, to keep some form of originality, excluding the monitor and the control panel base I had fabricated. Even the wiring is using that specific color standard.

You're probably playing this to death, but I'd love to see some gameplay videos. Great setup!
Haha the boys and I have been hammering out a ton of games the last few nights. The new Target Rush game is insanely fun.

First new game in at least 7 years. It plays blind, monitor B+ is stuck too high and turning on the over voltage protection. Cab needs love but overall I'm very happy.

Anyone know why some CC have white ball sticks and some have black?

Those black sticks are aftermarket replacements. Taito CCs are white, and Nichibutsu's CCs are black and very unique. Both kinds have a bit of slop but the white ones are unusually loose.

If you're a preservationist, go find the original white. If you're a player and those feel good, keep them or swap with something like @blkdog7 did and use the Sanwa JLW's.

i've seen them white, black, and orange tops. my CC had the blacktop sticks, mechanics all identical to what's noted in the Taito CC manual

why the variance? no clue, but they're overengineered slopfests
