Hey all!

I've managed to get my Stargate playable, and the game seem like quite the rush!!

However, every time I lose the ball, the machine will start kicking every coil(like
when it can't find the ball) and then kick the ball into the shooter lane a second later.
Sometimes when I get the ball into a kick-up hole it will forget(or something) to
kick it up/to kick a new ball the shooter lane.

So, it seems to be a TAD confused, but not broken.

What do you think could be the problem??

Thanks.

Nicholas

One of your switches in the ball trough is not registering that a ball is in there. So it goes into ball search and that fires the coil which kicks the ball out. Check the ball trough switches....

Ok, I just took the apron off...there's one microswitch that kicks the ball over
the little hill:) when you lose it, to the next microswitch....those are the only two.
So, it's one microswitch for three

I know the first one works(ball drain), I'll check the other one tomorrow!

Here's a pic:

You can see the lone lever from the microswitch..there must some sort of logic-sensing?
If the MS is pressed, the other balls must be there? However, this is a 4 ball game...
and there's only room for three? Is one supposed to stay in the drain!?

Hey again!

I've tried testing the switch(34), but I'm having some problems doing this! Can
anyone tell me what it's doing? It's just jumping through some numbers(and not
34:))

Video of DMD Switch-test:

I DID test the switch with my multimeter, and that's OK.

I've just tried putting balls in, and both switches in the ball through is working!

Are there any other switches *maybe some are know to cause problems* I should
check?

Well, I insert a ball into the drain, the coil kicks it up to the next level. When three
balls are present the last one holds down a lever. If insert the fourth ball after this, it
doesn't get kicked up:)

Quote from RGP

"Check your switches. With Stargate, it's pretty easy. With no credits and
with the game not in free play, hold down the start button. Switch status
should be displayed on the backbox display. I'm guessing it's a problem
with the ball trough."

Well, on further inspection the game lifts the two guards and the pyramid when the
ball is lost...so it's not clicking through rows of coils...

The ball through works:)

Maybe the Horus gaards are supposed to lift up, to check for balls stuck behind them??
