Have a Super mario bros; I'm a rookie, but I feel like this will be an easy fix for you pros. All of a sudden, without me doing anything the lower right flipper just went into the up position- and stayed there. It only does this when a ball is shot out into the shooter lane and then stays up until the ball goes back into the holder with the other balls- basically the entire time a ball is in play. Once the machine is off or there isn't a ball in play it goes back to normal postion- but pressing the button on the side of the cabinet doesn't make it go back up. First thing I checked was the fuse, its good, so I'm stuck. I also checked that the trigger at the button wasn't stuck in the connected postion- but its not. What I did find was that the part of the flipper mechanism that is wrapped in orange paper is really hot when the game is on- I assume from working so hard to keep the flipper up. Also noticed that there is some sort of battery pack with only one of its 2 wires connected to the flipper (not sure if thats significant, just thought i'd mention it incase). So that's where I'm at, any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks everyone.

Sounds like you have a bad transistor for that coil possibly. Using the schematics figure out which one it is and test it.

Also make sure the diodes are not broken off the coil or one side broken loose.

Also make sure the contacts for the cabinet button switch aren't touching together when you are NOT pressing the flipper buttons. They may need to be adjusted as well.

**I'm not very familiar with GTB games though, but I imagine these could be one of the issues**
