Woohoo not!!! Will have to repin all of the connectors, replace the Z connector, replace the cpu board, rebuild the power supply board, and that's just a start!

Anyways anyone know if someone sells a power supply rebuild kit for sys 1??
Also where can I get all new edge connectors/pins? Think GPE, but didn't know if someone else might have a kit.

GPE is going to be your best bet here - but some of the edge connector housing just aren't available. I think I was able to make things easier and get about 60% new ones, but the rest I had to remove old pins and reuse.

This spring, I helped a buddy with a GTB Sys1 - a Sinbad.

We ended up going with a PS board from Rottendog (a bargain at 60 bucks, I thought) and a Ni-Wumpf MPU board, plus some cables and stuff from Docent.

Plays beautifully now.

I did a Pinball Pool last year and I also ended up taking the easy way. A Pascal Janin X4. Every single board in the backbox consolidated into one board about 10"x12". I probably could've fixed everything myself for 1/2 the cost, but it would've taken 10x as long, so.....

Re-pinned every single connector, and the game plays flawlessly.

I paid fifty bucks for my machine, so I had room to do this. But I know most Sys 1's don't allow for a $350 investment as a rule.

We got most of what we needed from Great Plains Electronics. This was followed by Big Daddy and Docent Electronics.

Just talked to Big Daddy and he has everything I need including the connectors. Going to rebuild the PS, replace the CPU with a Ni-Wumpf, replace all of the connectors/housing, reflow header pins/replace, and see what I get!

I got a little bit out of the game last night, but the displays are coming up solid zero's so slam switch is giving issue I believe. I'm not starting this project for about 2 weeks, but now I can order and have them all on hand!

Thanks to everyone for the help.

Big Daddy is closed right now because he is moving the company from Nevada to the midwest. So it may take a while to receive your order.
