Gottlieb Bone Busters

I think it's a pretty cool looking machine and the layout is interesting. It's obviously a Ghostbusters knock-off of sorts, but that kind of adds to the cool factor for me. It's impossible to know what kind of problem it might have, but if the playfield is in good shape and it seems to be in otherwise fine condition, I'd offer maybe $300-$350 for it.

Dude I'd go grab it at that price! Bonebusters is a pretty cool game. It's one of those oddball Gottlieb's that SCREAMS "80's" ...but its got cool sound and a talking skull on top. Gottlieb games have lithium batteries, so you shouldn't have acid damage. Unless it's totally falling apart, go snag it!

Looks like a fun pin, I'd offer 300 and see if the seller will bite, if not just go the 350. Its not a bad price.

well said, the price is already a steal, but i love the fact that the price is already to low so why not offer him less.

So is this gottliebs version of ghost busters i am guessing. like goldwings is basically topgun.

why pay for a license when you can just rip it off lol

still thought looks cool, i would play it

Simply because it's not working and most issues are usually worse than they're described as being.

The going rate for that title in non-working condition is probably $300 or less. I wouldn't think it offensive if you offered $250. Of course, I have not seen the game.

Powers on means absolutely nothing here - it just means the GI lighting is on. The CPU not booting could be a long and frustrating road on a Sys. 80.

Cheapest sale on ebay in 18 sales was $338 but who knows the condition. Highest price was $951. I wouldn't be surprised to see it go higher in a private sale. I know I wouldn't sell mine for less than $1K. It's pretty impossible to assign a "going rate" to a game like that.

It's a system 80B so the pain potential is much higher than system 80. I've seen the worst acid damage ever on system 80B games. I would get a good look at the boards before I bought it if I were you. If the boards and playfield are in good condition I would pay the asking price and call it a day. No sense dicking around while someone else buys it.

I have one but I've never played it or even plugged it in. All I can really say is that it looks cool :)

pretty much that is the exact price i was thinking 1000-1200full working shopped, iam just saying 90% of the issues ive delt with on the machines i have bought non working were connector issues,so if its a small issue 375 is a steal,do you think if there is severe acid damage 75.00 is going to make a difference, sometimes its not about the money its about bringing the machine back to life.

I emailed on it but haven't heard anything back yet. I have been looking for a cool pin for my house and this seems like something I would probably enjoy for a while. I am also one of those people that are easily amused so even what most people consider a shitty movie, I will probably still be fine watching. Unless we start talking music...

But back to the point... So this does seem like a good deal even at the asking price assuming its not acid damage?

i hope he contacts you,but he prob. sold it already, when its a deal that good you just have to do it.

Yeah see thats the problem though. I don't know the deals like some of you guys do when it comes to pins. I don't have as much experience or the years of dealing with them like a lot you guys do. I have always enjoyed playing but never owned one before. We have plenty on route that i help maintain but don't know the value of them. I mean, I have a good idea on the ones we have.

i think the best way to see what sellers are "asking" for the machines is to check the mrpinball classifieds.Iam not saying those are the excact values of the machines, but its a good start for a number.also boston pinball site lets you know the highs and lows on ebay.i personally dont like anything to do with ebay #s ive seen to many pinball machines sell for ridiculous prices, then see that same machine a week later on cl or back on ebay.in the end you just have to think about what you're willing to pay for a title.

Mr. Pinball is a joke for actual pinball prices. Almost every listing is at a 'sucker' price. It makes no sense either, because the only people who would be willing to pay those prices are people who know nothing about pinballs!

Mr. Pinball prices are usually high, but you can occasionally find fair prices. Most often the prices listed on Mr. Pinball are higher than ebay!

To be fair, your average machine quality is much higher on Mr. Pinball than eBay. Lots and lots of those Mr. Pinball machines have been well maintained or improved and eBay machines are typically given the Windex wipedown treatment and listed as "fully shopped by a licensed professional". How does one get licensed as a pinball professional anyway? You can't!

in the end you just have to think about what your willing to pay for a title, when listing a machine you always have to ask for more than what you actually want,i think its pretty much a given that if i want 500.00 for a machine i will ask 650.00,i think alot of the prices on mr pinball are vendors and dealers, all i was saying is that its something to compare.
