gottlieb bankshot problem

i turn it on and all it dose is the startup cycle over and over my first pin ever so ineed alot of help
Make sure score reels are reseting to zero. make sure bonus unit , player unit, ball count unit all are reseting to home position. Basicaly there is no perfect answer to this question. Your going to have to check out the link playpin35 posted and just pick a spot and start cleaning and adjusting all switches , relays, ect.

well ive cleaned all the relays nothing left but themain motor hey burt i also found a tilt switch in wedge box should i be going by the 1975 start up sequence

You'd be suprised on how little the margin for error on this era gottlieb relay switchs are. Ax relay seems to allways be out of adjustment when I pick up one from this era. Also sometimes people activate the relays by hand when trouble shooting and the leaf switches come out of the little plastic allinment thing on the relay and then the switches are not working properly. Clean that score motor.

gordon i found the same exsact thing on the ax relay. that pin repair site is vey helpful ty playpin..what should the point gap be? just like the older cars? a matchbook thickness. and all (the nock out switches ) , i think thats what there are called, the one in the wedgehead,on the coinbox and the 1 under the play field, should those be closed or open right now they are all closed the only 1 open is the set on the bottom of the main box

all right i got him going :) i cleaned the score motor, what a project; still wouldnt work then i read the nock out switches are suppose to be closed so i closed the set that were in the wedgehead unit and walla he works great. now i have to get the rubber orings and some of the towers the orings go around replaced.
