This is a Volcano machine from CraigsList, history unknown.
I tested the output of the rectifiers inside the cabinet, and here's what I found:
12.7 from the one labeled "12 VDC Power Supply / Sound Board"
6.8 from the one labeled "6 VDC Lamps"
39.5 from the one labeled "38 VDC Non-controlled solenoids"
36.5 from the one labeled "24 VDC Controlled Solenoids"
The first three seem close enough for government work, but the last one bugs me. The input reads 30.3 VAC, same as the "Uncontrolled" one. Is this proper and expected, or is there maybe a short in the transformer?
Perhaps not coincidently, I'm having voltage problems with the sound board power supply (see my other post, http://forums.arcade-museum.com/showthread.php?t=166186). Could these problems be related?
