Gotta get the net - I've got animals to contain!!!!!

Just got back from a so called "liquidation sale" which had chairs, tables, dj equipment, counters and some arcade games from what llooked like a close club of some sort in Kent WA. I looked at the game lineup the titles on hand were...

Space Invaders
Space Panic
Ms Pac cocktail
Armor Attack
Ladybug
Phoenix x2
Ms Pac upright
Super Pac
Sega Turbo
Monaco
Space Demon
Kick
and a couple others I can't remember.

Oh and Zookeeper!!!!!!!!!!!!! I've wanted one ever since I played Dokerts for the first time 1 1/2 years ago, I just figured with them being somewhat rare and go for alot of cash i'd never have one.

I asked what the prices are and he said make an offer so of course I'm gonna lowball. I offered $100 each for a coupe and he said no way at least $500 each because they are collectors items. I offered $200 on the ZK he said $400, I offered 3 and he said $350 and I said fine but I wanted to pull it out of the row to check the cab and plug it in and he was hesitant to do so.

I told him the price was fine but if the cab was hammered or it did nothing I wasn't going to buy. He reluctantly pulled it out for inspection and plugged it in. It came up memory failure and the cab is good so I took it.

Got it home and it works!!!!!!!!!

It needs some major cleaning, repaint the base, back door is missing a couple chunks and the lock assy (which I'll swap with my Qix). it looks like I have my winter project and now I have to decide which game has to go to make room....... - Barry

Awesome! I just got my ZK last weekend, and cant stop playing it. Such an amazing game, and the cab flat out rocks.

$350 is a freaking steal, too. That cab looks like it will clean up very nicely.

Good get.

you lucky so and so!

Short lived happiness so it seems. I came out to a frozen screen. Power off then on and it does nothing............ more of a project now. - Barry

Hey Barry Nice Pickup! I've never played that before. Why do you have too make room for it? Seems like you have alot of Extra Room there?

To hell with the Zookeeper's! How did you turn down that Ladybug arcade game! :)

A positive update with this one. I took the boards to Dokert's place this morning and tested them in his ZK and they work fine so it looks like a PS issue. A big relief. - Barry

Oh yeah and the alledged working original Taito PS in Dokert's Zoo Keeper is there and working.

so how many PM's did you get to take that off your hands for half of what you paid "since it was broken?"

Nice score Barry! That cab looks like it's in really good shape.

Thanks for the phone call with the status report from the sale. I decided not to try and skip out of work to check it out. Maybe I'll send him another email and see if he still has the Armor Attack, and has realized that his prices are too high.

I emailed the guy and asked if he still had the Armor Attack, if it worked and if he had a price in mind. He replied that he sold it, but has another and he's only open Friday and Saturdays.

No word if it works, or how much he wants. I'm not sure if it's worth it or not to go down next week.

He may still have the Super Pac.

Never played Zoo Keeper but I would have happily paid $350 for a working Super Pac.

Who knows if it worked, the guy didn't want to plug them in.

I wonder where the other games are. I never bothered to ask if there were more than what were in the room. He acted like he didn;t know much of anything about them. He said he got many emails on the Armor Attack, but that's one of the few games you could make out from the crappy picture on CL. I knew there was a horizontal Taito game there next to the AA, I just assumed it was an Elevator Action which is also cool but I was happy to see the Zoo Keeper.

I called 1-800-Dokert and got some tech support and adjusted the PS and got it running again. - Barry

Why spend $39 + shipping if you don't have to? Just gotta have skillz Oz.

Nice looking cab Barry.

I build my own, I just mentioned the Arcade Shop option for people who aren't willing to put forth the effort.

I will use most linear power supplies until they die and then I decide if I want to rebuild or replace them with switchers. If the rebuild costs exceed the cost of a switcher the decision is easy...
