The entire first page of CL is Xbox "arcades". What a pain trying to sort through all that sh*t only to find a $950 Defender and somebody selling a bunch of boards that I don't want (not to mention the adult bookstore with "arcade" for sale). :angryfire:

This is what I use "arcade -xbox -xbox360 -ps2 -pc -usb" I had to add that USB because some guy has, for the past year it seems, been try'ng to sell a USB controller with the word "arcade" in his description... just got tired of seeing it.

I still get some Nintendo stuff... but that search eliminates 95% of the shit I was having to put up with.

Try "game machine" and if you have enough time "machine"... some people don't use the work "arcade" in their descriptions. Also, if you have the time, toss in a few "pac" and "donkey" and "galaga" etc etc for people that don't know how to use the words arcade, game, or machine.

If you add on too much "-stuff" it'll start screwing up the search results... no idea why, not sure if they fixed it yet... I just stick with that string and it works for me. Another tip... bookmark your search page... that way to don't have to type that stuff in every time.

Thanks. I've used - on other engines, no idea why I haven't tried it on CL. Probably because when I first used CL it wouldn't take multiple terms in the search box and I'm a creature of habit and laziness.

But you'll miss out on the guy that wants to trade his old Quantum "arcade" machine for an "Xbox." :p

Have you tried CL Genie? You can put those terms in its search and it will email you the results as soon as someone posts them. Got a few cabs that way because they pop up on my phone and I can do a quick call before anyone else. ;)

That helped a lot. I didn't know you could do that. Xbox has absolutely nothing to do with arcade systems. They need to put a lazy fat guy section on Craigslist for that.

If you noticed a "substantial" number of Xbox 360's showing up on Craigslist... It is because ONE MILLION Xbox 360 owners who had modded their system got banned about a week ago from the "Xbox Live" service. Since most of these people CAN'T LIVE without being able to get on there and talk smack to people, they are having to sell their systems and buy new ones. They were banned because "anyone" who was playing the new Call of Duty game online before it hit the store shelves were (obviously) playing a burned copy on a modified system. ALL systems that were doing this were permanently banned from the Live service. So, all of these people who are physically addicted to talking smack over headseats have been forced to buy new systems to get their fix...

Thats hilarious! I hope the electric scooters are charged up good at Walmart. They are about to be making a lot of trips to the electronics section. That and the cardiac teams better be ready for this all over the country. LOL Theyll be dropping like flies trying to make it to the scooter from their cars.

Sadly there will be 100's of assholes buying a new one and attempting to return the old one it's place.

There was a two day spurt that Microsoft dropped the ban hammer. The first day there was reportedly ~600,000 systems while the second day focused on the Australian users which nabbed another ~500,000 systems. No, I did not accidentally use an extra zero!

I never play on xbox live - my stuff still works lol.

And for the record - xbox has EVERYRTHING to do with arcades - simply because there is an arcade version which is sold without a hard drive.
So it's the xbox360 arcade version ;)

I hate it too! For CL I use: arcade -xbox -xbox360 -psp -PS2 -NES -(nes) -ps3 -playstation -n64

I think some of it has to do with the 100 dollars rebate and people are buying the system and keeping the rebate and then trying to sell the machine for almost full price. Glad I am not a X-box owner. Do own a wii that never gets played.
