Attended an awesome event tonight. A fellow local collector was hosting an arcade party to raise money for charity and he was kind enough to invite me. In attendance were the infamous Walter Day, Billy Mitchell, Steve Sanders, and various other arcade-related celebs. Anyway, they are all great guys and I had a great time. They were also kind enough to sign my Pac Man and Donkey Kong marquees. So awesome...for me anyway. If I hadn't been invited, I doubt I'd ever have any other opportunity to meet those guys. Anyway, just wanted to share. As is customary with my posts, here are some pics...

That looked like the party of the year !! That pacman suit was awesome , I want one .

It is really super cool of these guys to do stuff like this. Thumbs way up in my book.

Love him or hate him, you gotta love Billy!

Good job from everyone.

I wish I could raise money for charity by playing video games!

:D

Thanks for the cool pics.

Derek ROCKED that Pac suit! His line-up looks nice too. If Eric didn't get a mil on DK then he failed again. Typical of him.

You can actually rent Billy Mitchell out for parties? Is it cheaper than springing for a Chuck E Cheese family pack because the later is getting ridiculous.

Kick ass man! That looks like a great time and a very nice arcade setup! I love these type of parties, fun to get to chat with others and share stories of favorite games, memories, etc.

Billy is an interesting guy, I wonder if he still enjoys playing DK at all? I got to hang with Robbie Lakeman for a while and asked if he still enjoyed it and it seems it gets old and time consuming to keep playing to beat the high score or kill screens.

I'm not impressed with the so called "celebs" there, but am pretty impressed with the collection of games there, whoever owns them nice game room and thanks for sharing the pics.
