So I got the DK Caberet. Monitor lights up, see picture, but there is no picture. No sounds when coined up.. Speaker is unhooked, makes a high hiss when attached. Its a 4 board stack.

UPDATE:

I checked the voltages. None of the voltages go above 100 mv. I did notice that the -5V spots registered -.8v and the +5v pins measured positive, so I believe I tested it right. So I think my power supply is shot. Is this easily repairable, or does anyone have one for sale?

Nice pick up. Your monitor appears to be working but it looks like there is no video signal going to it. These monitors will show a white raster if nothing is hooked up. Check the white ribbon cable from the pcb to the monitor chassis to make sure it is connected. If it is, try to find another known working pcb to verify.

If everything is hooked up correctly, I suspect this is a pcb issue.

video wires are all connected. is it possible to hook up a DK Jr board to this to test? Or any ways to check to see if the PCB is bad, checking voltages somewhere?

You can swap in a DK Jr boardset to test. Does yours have the instruction card on the right side of the monitor ? If so could you scan it ?

The right card is a tad damaged.. I'll show you a picture of it.

2 more questions:

1. The 2 Board DK Jr will work with the 4 board harness/power supply?

2. Is there somewhere I can check the voltage going to the board / is there any danger of frying my working DK Jr board?

already started. :)

looks like a power supply issue to me as my first thought. don't think a dk jr would look any different. Can you measure voltages?

I do not think my private messages work for some reason. I can not send outgoing messages, only receive them. So I did not want to do this here, but…

Let me know what you think, or if you would like me to tweak it in anyway. I do not have a good image, I used the photograph from this thread which means I could not identify the type face, haha. If you know exact colors (Pantone, CMYK) I can match it. Also the cell shading, thicker/thinner?

Cheers!
