Got some new "wall art" for the garagecade

I have always loved the old skate decks from the 80's.

Powell Peralta and Vision were my decks of choice as a kid. Some of the coolest artwork!

Just picked up these 2 powell "re-issue" boards that are supposedly black light reactive. Mike Mcgill and Skull and sword.

I've been slowly hanging my old decks on the back wall of my garage cade for some radical wall art. Some of these were my old boards, some were thrift store finds.

Check em out..... will post some more pics shortly.

Skate or die!!

haven't seen that Mark Gonzalez board in a LONG time.. nice collection. I do want the repro of the Ripper board.

Nice decks, I have looked into some reissues as well, but did not know about the black light reactive ones. I have about 10 or so boards up in my gameroom as well. That gonz was my first nice board. I had a grey dipped version and still have it hanging up! Nice looking decks and games in there!

heh wiz.... dude, these powell decks were supposed to be "black light" reactive but are really not :( kinda a bummer, but they are still cool for display.

ive noticed the VISION reissues glow real well. dave (vectorinvader) has got a vision (forgot the name) and its a glower.

post some pics of your wall of boards wiz!

thanks gozer for the props too :)

I busted one of these in half once, crashed going down a big hill covered with tiny rocks and it shot into traffic :/

ouch.... that had to hurt!

Yeah breaking decks hurt :( Hard to come up with another 80-100 on my budget those days. Picking stones out of one's chest didn't feel that good but it was better than coming up with the cash.

I'm trying to remember the deck I had after that.. It was something about a saw blade? The edges were shaped like saw teeth. That deck was so nice.. you could get a really nice hand hold on it anywhere due to the shape. Anyone know? It was mainly white... I don't remember too much else about it. I broke it on a ridiculously high street ramp we had stashed by a tennis court in the bushes :)

Fun. I have an original Tony Hawk first issue. It's pretty sweet.
I wish I had my 1st skate still, which was a HAWK Burnout Powel.
I actually have a bunch of my old decks.

By far some of the best graphics were on the Santa Cruz boards. Otherwise Powel and the Mike McGill looks sweet.
