Hey all, I have done some searching on KLOV, youtube, the real bob roberts and other internet sites but really have not gotten anything that gives me what I was looking for.

I have all the parts for my 60 in 1 JAMMA game that I am installing. I am putting it all in a DK cab. A pic is below of the parts.
The problem is that I don't know what needs to be GROUNDED. Does the speaker? Power Supply? Each Button??

Currently the Joystick is an original Nintendo and has a ground wire connected.

I wish I knew how to hook everything up as I could start playing tonight!!!! I am just afraid of frying my monitor or board.
Any suggestions or links to some good directions.

There are 2 types of grounds. AC and DC.

AC ground is the safety ground and generally anything in the cab that is metal and can be touched on the outside should be AC grounded.

On a DK cab it would be the monitor, coin door, control panel (joystick) and the metal plate that hold the on/off switch.

DC ground is what comes off the board through the jamma harness for the control panel switches, coin and service switches and the monitor signal gnd.

These 2 should no be confused. - Barry

Thanks Barry,
I am not hooking up the Coin Door, so that is one less thing to worry about.
So do the BUTTONS on the CP need to be grounded??? Or just the Joystick? If it's just the joystick, then I am all good there.

What do you mean by the Metal Plate that holds the on/off switch. Is that the "freeplay" or "Credits" button and plate?

So where on the monitor do you ground it?

The buttons get a ground from the jamma harness for the switch, they are not AC grounded.

Is there any original wiring in the cab at all?

On DK cabs there were green wires grounding everything that needed to be grounded. The monitor was typically grounded at one of the bracket bolts.

The switch I am referring to is on the back of the cab, It's where the power cord goes to.

There are not any original DK wiring that I am using. Everything is done by an ATX power supply and JAMMA harness.
So it sounds like I don't have to ground anything?? The JAMMA harness has everything needed for grounding?
I will read the info you posted.
