Haven't started it yet. I do have a cabinet now though. But back to Space Wars, what a fucking great game.

Wonder if they ever made 25" vector monitors - that itty bitty monitor in there just doesn't look right; reminds me of some of those poorly made Mame cabs...

Does this machine play like the Vectrex game? I had never played either until the Portland game show when this game was available for play on a Vectrex. I thought it was a great game and if the upright is the same game, or hopefully even better, I'll add this game to my list of games to buy.

We weren't asleep. Personally, I didn't want those boat anchors.
I wouldn't call it a boat anchor... but i wouldn't really go out of my way for one... I would have given the parts one to Funspot to fix up theirs, and donated the nice one to the MIT museum, since the game was originally made (for PDPs) in building 20, and a lot of relics from building 20 are now in the Stata Center (W32).
...of course then I'd be on the hook to keep the damn thing running... heh.

I heard about them a couple weeks back, but (as you know) have a bunch of other stuff to move before worrying about beasts that aren't keepers...
Quinn doesn't like me, so I wasn't invited to the earlier trips to this warehouse
Stata would be a great place for an arcade... there's so much wasted space and unused open areas in that architectural monstrosity that you could throw in a couple dozen games and it'd be years before anyone who'd balk would notice...

Awesome score. Hella jealous. That machine is more desirable to me than a Computer Space as far as grailability...

Hey if it wasn't for Quin I wouldn't have these and being a big fan of vector games I really appreciate him hooking me up on these.
