A couple of notes:
*They obviously put a lot of effort into this thing in terms of making it resemble the original cocktail machine. Check out the stickers. Also note that the instruction cards lie underneath the plastic (glass) like the original, so you can't scratch `em. Neat.
*It's an LCD game but, as you can see, it's backlit.
*There's a "beat" with the sound that approximates the one in the original game, but isn't quite the same. However, the game sounds are very close to spot-on.
*Including a color overlay sticker to emulate the one which sat on the monitor face was a nice gesture, but I like it better without the sticker. (Looks cooler in black and white, anyhow.)
*It keeps track of your score, the number of coins you have inside it, and can be set for sound on/off.
*Important (and this is the most useful part of my review) - NICKELS ARE NOT BIG ENOUGH TO WORK. Other reviews have this wrong, and say nickels can be substituted for the yen coin. They'll fit, but they won't trip the counter. As mentioned elsewhere, quarters won't fit...but an old game token I had works just fine.
Otherwise, this thing is all kinds of super dorky kickass. It'd made a great conversation piece for anyone who's into the arcade hobby. Far neater than I thought it'd be.
