Well I finally did it...

Here is the story... I went to a klov get together (@ crabtown, Glen Burnie MD) and brought my wife. She is not a gamer... but she really likes pinball. We played all the pins there and had a real good time. There were a couple she really enjoyed... Cyclone, FishTales (for the cute factor) and The Big Hurt. We really spent a great deal of playtime on The Big Hurt, its a good theme (baseball) and although its probably not the most popular game we thought it was really quite fun.

So we kind of left the place psyched about pinball... For me I'm really not set on any one in particular... I've wanted to get a machine to get the ball rolling so to speak... (no pun intended of course). I do have my favs... White Water, Addams Family and Pinbot, and of course they are not the cheapest.

So for the heck of it... I posted a WTB for The Big Hurt. A fellow klover had one for sale and gave me a real good price. This game has everything for me in a first pin, lots of lights, DMD and a good overall game play and the most important... the wife buy-in! I had to sell a few things... namely my Asteroids upright, for which I was a little sad but not really for all that long.

You have taken the first step down that slippery slope.

Welcome to the Dark Side.

pins are like lay's potato chips you just cant have one and congrads on your new pin.just remenber i told you !

i've never played it, but the playfield looks pretty cool/interesting.....i think i'll download the visual pinball table and give it a go.

congrats on the first pin purchase! i'm becoming more of a pin guy than an arcade guy now (at least for future purchases...still gonna keep most of my existing arcades).

The funny thing is I've ALREADY caught myself thinking about what game in my collection I could hock next ... first thing I thought of when I woke up this morning. I'm going to have to fight the urge... at least for now.

Well it looks like we have a new reason to say once again how much of a success the Crabtowne event was. :D Congrats!
