I have a chance at a mostly working Xenon for $325. Nice cabinet, boards are in very nice shape, plays with the exception of a couple bumpers, a couple switches and so on. Backglass is flaked and the playfield is rough. Should I bite? What am I looking at for the backglass & playfield? Can I even find 'em?

I got one in about that same condision only working for in CA for $400 and sold it later for $450. I love the looks but just could not get into the gameplay.

It a cool game and has great backglass and sound.

Cheapest backglass I found so far is around $200, if its still available. Seems like for $500-$700 I could maybe hold out for a nicer example, although I could live with the playfield if I had to. What's it worth?

I would say that is not worth $325. It is not fully working, the backglass and playfield are crap. I would pay maybe $200 for it. Then I would look for another one with a nice backglass and decent playfeild with a beat up cabinet and do a transplant.

It's in my basement now, $300 working all the way, new supercap, just needs a good cleaning and a few lamp issues. Got the story and a few pics up on my site if anyone's curious. Also have a backglass on the way, after shipping I'm paying ALMOST as much for the BG as I did for the whole pin. Sheesh. Why hasnt anyone repro'ed it yet?

You don't see them repro'd because they're rarely damaged - you have the outer backglass, and that one's on the inside, so it's well protected generally.

Let me know if you need any playfield parts.

Finally got around to shopping out the PF as best as I could, still rough but definitely an improvement. Got a new backglass on it as well.

You call that rough? I bet it looks fine in a dark arcade. I don't even see wood...

Theres a few spots down to wood that I touched up with a sharpie. Looks like there used to be alot more that someone did a decent job touching up with paint before. Either way it's not too bad, and it plays fine, so I'm happy with it.
