Here's a thread where someone saved a really beat up Q*Bert cab as well.

I've definitely struggled with motivation for restoration projects before so I know how you feel. Posting here is one way I've tried to push restorations along.
I think I'm going to try running it through the plainer at work and just shave the swelling downI did a resto of my Q*Bert cab last year and I know how these MDF cabs can be a pain. Lots of wood hardener will help and it will take some time and patience, but ya got nothing to lose.![]()
Got an affordable Q*bert. Cabinet is shit but it's 100% complete. I have the panel and glass also. It's not very pretty but I am hoping starting a resto topic will motivate me to save it....
Cool - swearing marquee. Is it an original marquee, or a repro?
(Is there an easy way to tell between the two?)
By the way, I think I need to invest in a heat gun, using a bic lighter and a loose razor blade is NOT the way to go, holy time consumption Batman!
Yeah man! That UK resto is INSANE! Good to see you at the island. Right after you left I hit 530 million on Addams, probably my personal best.Good seeing you again last night Brian. Use the UK QBert thread as motivation and make it happen!![]()
