Ok I'll start off by saying I also got $100 in gift cards for EB/Gamestop from my Fiance with it...and they had a nice 50% off sale the day after, so I picked up the exclusives I already knew and they had.

I got the Uncharted 3 bundle(Why release a hardware bundle with the 3rd game? I stopped playing until I picked up the first two, I hate playing sequels first).

Uncharted 1, 2 and 3.
Resistance 1 and 2
Killzone 2 and 3
MGS 4
LBP
Ratchet and Clank A Crack in Time

I kinda wish I hadn't wasted my money on Resistance, at least the first one so far.
What a goddamn piece of shit...I'm no graphics whore, but are you kidding me? It looks like ass, and holy crap does it play like ass. I know it was a launch title, but it still doesn't excuse how ass-tastic this pile of crap looks and plays.

Edit: I picked up the God of War Collection and am hunting for a used copy of 3(none in stock anywhere near here atm).

I'm not a huge fan of war games, but the Resistance series is my favorite of all time. I have played Resistance: FOM over 10 times. R1 & R3 are the best because you can play the actual game with a buddy in your house (co-op). I don't get into online play.

The only PS3 game I owned for the first year of PS3 ownership was RFOM. That is the game that got me in to online shooters. I still play COD with the guys I met way back then.

Surprising...I don't think I've played a worse FPS than this in this generation of consoles, even Turning Point: Fall of Liberty being considered a "B" title beats the crap out of Resistance.

The graphics I can live with(but they are pathetic), but the controls and general gameplay mechanics are absolutely horrible and amongst the worst EVER in an FPS.

If you are a fan of old school Zelda games try 3D Dot Heroes.

It's pretty much a bare bones shameless copy of old school Zelda.

Infamous is another that's exclusive and pretty highly acclaimed.

They may be a PS2 port, but Ico and Shadow of the Colossus Collection is awesome. Simply amazing, both games.

I don't think my launch 60GB is any different graphics wise, but it looks damn good to me.

Maybe it's because I prefer old school games and don't console that much anymore. I miss the good old days of NES & SNES.

Thanks, exactly what I was looking to hear...I hadn't even heard of 3D Dot Heroes.

I love Shadow of The Colossus, haven't played Ico. Is it just like the God of War Collection? ie; sharper graphics...and that's it? No bonus content etc?

Gran Turismo 5 if you're into driving games.

I've heard good things about Heavy Rain.

I'm about three dungeons in to 3D Dot Game Heroes myself (I've owned it forever, but just got around to it). It's definitely a throwback to classic Zelda. Nothing fancy or flashy about it. If that changes later on, I'm not sure yet... guess I'll find out when I get there. But from what I've heard it doesn't change much. It doesn't seem like it will be too long, either. And the price is sub $20 now, so it's worth it.

As for the Ico/SotC collection there is a little bit of bonus content.

A "dynamic" theme for the XMB (menu screen) based on Ico and one on SotC.
A few early concept videos and montages of early gameplay.
Interviews and such.

Ico is a great game, but fairly short. I think both together took me about 14 hours.

edit:
And I forgot to add, the graphics are very crisp. If you have a 3D TV you can play in 3D as well.

Gran Turismo 5 if you're into driving games.

I've heard good things about Heavy Rain.

I used to love Gran Turismo, own the first 3(wasn't impressed at all, 1+2 literally=3)...even bought 4 and traded it, it's just rehash after rehash and I'm not even the slightest bit interested in 5.

I checked Heavy Rain out, I can't seem to get into games like that, I've tried and the last game like that I played was The Indigo Prophecy...it was intriguing at first, but after an hour or so I just got bored of it.

If you like retro style games there are some great downloadable exclusives on PSN. Pixeljunk Monsters & PJM Encore (tower defense) and Pixeljunk Shooter 1&2 (Gravitar/puzzler hybrid) are a couple of my favorite PS3 series. Wipeout HD/Fury might be the best of that series.

Lots of other great retro-ish titles on PSN but I don't know which are PS3 exclusives.

If you liked Shenmue, Yakuza 3 & 4 are similar and they're available for $15 each now at K-mart, Newegg.com, etc.

(Heavy Rain was made by the same developer as Indigo Prophecy)

3D Dot Game Heroes is awesome. Nuff said. There's a whole thread on it here.

Ico/Shadow were done in a higher resolution than the PS2 could handle at the time, so the PS2 version actually lost much of the detail they were going for back then. The beauty of the PS3 remake is that that detail can now be seen. Yes, it's still kind of blocky, but not nearly as bad as the GoW collection. And since the cut scenes are all rendered in-game, there's no shitty video quality (again like the GoW collection).

That's not to say that the GoW collection is bad, in fact, it too is bad ass. Hell that series is just damn good, especially if you consider the time frame those games came out during.

I am in agreement with everything in this thread so far. If you have all the Uncharted games, get all the GoW games (the two collections and 3), Ico/Shadow, and maybe Metal Gear Solid 4, then I think you're good to go for a while. Oh, the Prince of Persia collection is also on PS3 - I haven't played it, but that series was pretty damn good too.

I'm currently playing Red Dead Redemption. It's a western themed game and pretty amazing so far (just started playing it this week). I'm not usually one for Western movies, but I'm enjoying this game as it has a good story.

You might want to check out the Williams Hall of Fame pinball collection if you don't own any of the classic tables it has or have a way to play any of them. I've found that to be one I keep coming back to play.

Uncharted is definitely awesome! I can't wait to play 2 and 3.

I've had a 360 for years now and prefer non-exclusives on it(mainly due to the controller...though the Dpad will forever suck on it).

My only gripe with the first Uncharted is the stupid sixasis control for throwing grenades, but I've since realized that you can make it work by looking up higher too.

She got me one of those 3rd party Afterglow wireless controllers as a second controller that I MUCH prefer to the Sony one, as the sticks are laid out like on the 360 and aren't floppy and loose like the Sony ones either(Sorry PS pad lovers, the analog sticks have SUCKED since my first Playstation!), but it doesn't have Sixaxis support(I don't think any 3rd party ones do?).

Anyone have other suggestions? I've heard Haze was WAY overhyped and is a flop?

Too bad they dropped PS2 backwards compatibility, I still gotta keep my PS2 on the shelf here.

I know you said you wanted to know about system exclusive titles, but if you haven't played Castlevania Lord of Shadows yet, you should give it a try. I haven't been able to stop playing it. The graphics are amazing and the enemies you fight especially the larger boss battles are awesome.

If you like the God of War series, and you like Castlevania Lord of Shadows, you'll probably also like Dante's Inferno.

There are some really good PSN exclusives. Some of my PSN games:

Wipeout (not the gameshow)
PixelJunk series
Flower
Super Stardust HD
Dead Nation
Joe Danger (not exclusive but really good)
Trash Panic (i dont own this but heard great things)

Yeah my Fiance got on and downloaded a bunch of demos, I don't think she tried Flower yet(but downloaded it) and she remembers the original Wipeout and appears to love Wipeout HD. I'll give those other ones a try if she hasn't already downloaded them.
