I scored a free Galaga today , all thanks to bclark , the coolest Klover ever !! bclark gave me a heads up on a craigslist add in my area where the guy was giving away a free Galaga to the first person that could go pick it up at his storage unit and I happened to be the first guy to email him so I got it . Crazy , its like winning the lottery . I think it has a board or power supply problem cause it turns on and I can hear the monitor come on and speaker hum but nothing on screen , I tried to coin up but nothing happens . When I turn it off I can see the monitor turn off . The Galaga pcb is REALLY clean .

It might be an optical illusion, but it doesn't look like there are any fuses in the bottom of the cab.

Yeah, I know...
it's just a fuse
but sometimes it actually is!

Hey good eyes , yeah I took all the fuses out , took some pics , then replaced them with new ones . The guy had a couple 15 amp microwave fuses in there , I didn't know what they were till I went to the hardware store and saw some of them there .

Awesome score !!! I just scored 6 cocktail pins that had been in storage for 29 years...lady wants me to come get the other 6 as well.

Holy pics Burtman!

Great pickup, don't know if the brown areas on the one board are just normal due to heat or could be indicative of other issues, but you can't beat a solid looking cab for the low low price of free!

I saw that too and was wondering the same thing........

nice pickup. I have a spare Mappy board and am minutes away from you if you want to test if it's the MB with my Mappy since they're interchangeable.

Dude awesome pickup and yes the PS gets hot.

You can get a switcher harness from Bob Roberts, works like a charm.

No more wasting time troubleshooting an underpowered and obsolete PS.

Not original but it is better.

Thanks man , I'll mess with it and if I get stuck , that would be great if I could test it in your Mappy cab !

Thats right Bob does have those , I might go that route if I can't figure things out .

The only differences is that the Switchers have an adapter that allows the Galaga harness to clip into it.
