This is an older bartop that's been converted to take an iCade 60-in-1.

The image looks good, but the picture is a little dim. There's smoked glass in front of it, and the glass might be hard to remove because keys for the lock holding it in are bye bye.

Is there an easy way to adjust the brightness on this monitor? Lots of knobs, but I can't find a brightness control...

(Anything else you could tell me about the monitor would be kewl, too.)

Arcade locks are generally nothing special, I suspect your cute little bartop is small enough to just up and tote to a locksmith in the passenger seat of your car, and I'd be surprised if they can't open it. (Or if you're lazy, some of the linear types can be forced with a screwdriver... you won't be able to use that lock again though.)

As for the monitor itself, more information is really needed. I can already tell you everyone's going to ask for chassis pictures.

The K5800 13" is basically a 4900 monitor. Just adjust the screen control on the flyback to adjust the brightness.

I had some of those old bartops (see below) with that same monitor. Probably need to clean the bezel and tube, too....

BTW - if this has that push in lock on the side that pops out when you unlock it and allows the front to swing open, I've had success using a mailbox key and wiggling it back and forth while trying to turn it. Eventually I get those locks to unlock...

It's a small cylinder lock. Had a round key.

I'd unscrew it from the other side - and that might still be the route I go - but it's way tucked back in there.

Okay - dumb dumb question: what's the "screen control" consist of? Are these the red, blue, etc. knobs, or a different knob altogether? (Wait...that's the neckboard, I think.)

BTW, I'll try to get pictures soon. It's a big countertop that's deeper than it is wide. Monitor is mounted vertically - almost looks factory, but might not be. Coin slot on right side at the back of the machine.

The screen control is on the flyback (circled below). it is the bottom knob (arrowed)...

There's picks for tubular/"rotary" locks that work quite nicely; most locksmiths should have one laying around. But if you can get at the back of it, that'd save you some money.
