It seems there is a lot of Williams sound issues from using the search function here. I had a bad driver board that had been fixed SEVERAL times it appears. I purchased a Rottendog power supply and the same fuse popped so I sat it aside needing driver board repair. I went ahead and purchased a Rottendog MPU/Driver combo after he got the system 7 working. I installed both new boards last night and the sound works but the volume is really low. I checked the pot on the sound board and it makes no difference. I also turned the overall volume control and it makes no difference also. I can hear all the sounds and the heartbeat and they are all working. When I hit the sound test on the sound board, all the sounds are coming through one at a time like normal. I looked on the speaker and it says 4 or 8 ohms. The originals are 8 ohms, right?
From reading the pinrepair.com site, it says the sound and speech boards have their own power supplies and they are basically their own system.
The speech was working O/K with the original boards except it would just start saying gorgar gorgar gorgar sometimes and I was thinking the connector might be the problem. The volume was fine. Since the sounds are sounding correctly, I dont think it is the connectors that are causing the low volume with the new board.
Anyone have any ideas.
Thanks
Travis
