I just noticed my Gorgar's Game Over mode does not seem to be working. The lights just stay on, no "attract" of flashing lights....

I've also noticed my player lights are not coming on..

The game does play though!

Would this be a fuse that has blown??

Any assistance would be appreciated!!

Thanks!

Gorgar Attract Mode not working

I visually inspected the fuses in the backglass and they look okay.

Is there a known fuse that would affect this? Again, I notice that the player lights (actually that whole bottom row of lights in the back board aren't working....

I would love for it to be a fuse, but I'm not sure where to check.

Could this mean the battery is dead?

Thanks again!

The best thing do is go ahead are replace all the fuses and make sure they are the correct fuses and check all the connections. just trying to do the simple things first. No its not the battery the battery is only for keeping memory such as settings, high score, etc.

I've replace the 3 fuse-card fuses as well as the one in the main cabinet.

I need to pickup fuses for the other boards.

btw I have the Rottendog replacement power board and the MPU Combo board from them as well....if that helps at all....

thanks for the help!!

I've replaced all the fuses and I am still having the issue.

It seems the lights along the bottom on the backglass are all out (players 1-4, match game over) and the lights be the displays that indicate its your turn....

Still no flashing for the Attract mode....

I guess it is possible a connector went bad to control those lights, but would that affect the attract mode? I'd think that at least the lights on the playfield would still flash....

page 496 0f the Gorgar Service manual shows connector 9JI that seems like all these lights are wired into (can't determine if this affects Attract mode)...but I cannot figure out which connector in the machine is 9JI !!

If we can locate that is there a way to use a multimeter to test it BEFORE rebuilding a connector?

Again, any help is MUCH appreciated!!

Thanks!

Upon further looking at my Gorgar, I've noticed all the playfield lights are out...only general illumination lights are on.....maybe this will help pinpoint something???

It seems the problem was with my bridge rectifier. I figured this out with the help of a local pinball repairman who was nice enough to help troubleshoot it over the phone!

Thanks to all!!
