Gorgar Bookshelf

I don't know if I'd put books under a dart board due to errant throws - but getting side-art templates and making a backbox from scratch is a neat idea to house a dart board.

This is worse than MAME cabinet and Star Wars Chair.

It'll be worse than the Star Wars Chair when it's been around for years, has multiple VAPS threads dedicated to it, and inspires someone to build a second one and then try to sell the parts here afterwards.

i guess its better then trashing it

It's sort of like hanging the body out for everyone in town to see rather than burying it.

If I ever get ahead of my bills. I am going to buy the Star Wars Chair. I will keep it as a chair and sit in it when I play DnD or have Arcade Parties. Nobody else will be allowed to sit in my Star Wars Chair thrown.

I watched that Gorgar since it was first posted. I feel guilty for not picking up the cabinet for someone that could actually use it. One of my favorite pins.

This is disgusting. Worse than the Star Wars Chair, and not in a good way. That guy deserves a swift backhand.

I almost bought it last year. My intentions were to set it on fire and video tape the event.

Damn! I had access to a few empty pinball cabinets several years ago. Should have seen the potential $ there. A couple of them ended up decorating the shop walls.

But taking an empty pinball cabinet and restoring it to playable is a GIANT undertaking unless you have an almost complete game with just a crappy cabinet. And that Gorgar cabinet that was in Co Springs was as empty as they could pretty much get. Heck, I have a Flash that was near complete but non-working (missing easily replaceable displays and PCBs) and that project has been a bit of a chore.

Oh, I'm not talking about scratch building a Gorgar. With some reproduction parts, it's more possible.

I meant it could have been used by someone with a rough cabinet. I have seen some rough Gorgar cabinets recently.

Better question is...who gutted it in the first place?

If it was someone swapping parts to an even better one, why the hell not put the lower quality parts in it and sell it on the cheap?

My money is on yet another PF and backglass hanging on someones wall...that should be in that cabinet instead. I hate seeing people do that...make a frigging poster or something instead.
