What happens when a backglass retires?

Most of the time, they get tossed in the trash. Sometimes the get stuck on a shelf in the deep dark reaches of some cold storage unit and are forgotten.

This backglass served it's many owners for over 30+ years, and I felt that it deserved something better when it was officially retired today.

My friend Taco came across a nearly minty fresh Gorgar backglass for me a few months ago. My wife decided that the humane thing to do, would be to make this Gorgar backglass into a piece of wall art for my Sister's upcoming birthday. The moderate flaking is barely noticeable with the black matt framed in behind the backglass.

So even though this Gorgar backglass has been offically retired, his legend will live on.
