Picked up a Gorf and been playing it for awhile today and I haven;t gotten one light to come on. Is there a way to test the board since all bulbs look good?

Did you test the bulbs with a meter? They might look good, but actually have broken filaments from moving, age, etc.

Since most players top out at Space Cadet on GORF, you can take the last rank light out and swap it with Space Cadet to test. Also, those bulb holders can lose their contact spring, bend those out so they're making good contact with the light board.

While you're working on that assembly, pull that light board and reflow the solder on the header pins where it plugs in.

Reply to this thread and let us know if it's working after all that :)

The board is cherry picking which lights it want to work and when they want them to work. I played for about 20 minutes straight and the lights wouldn't work one play thru and then just one would pop up thru the next play thru and then next time i coined up the same light wouldn't work.
since i have no clue how to test bulbs or this actual light board does anyone fix these on here?

I agree with Mike. Also another thing you can do is if you turn that board over, test continuity through the two traces that run to each bulb. I just fixed one a few days ago doing this. You should get 3 or 4 ohms through each bulb, if you don't like Mike said it's either the bulb or the connectors inside the socket. Small chance you have some transistors out too on that pcb but I doubt it, they're not doing very much.

Lyons, can you repair the board? If so pm me. When this issue comes up is it isolated to just the light board or can it also deal with the game board?

There is very little on the light/rank board. Just pull it out and check continuity through the bulbs. You probably need to reflow the header pins, and check the contacts for all the bulbs. While you're in there, clean the header pins too, and make sure you're getting good contact with the harness. Also, resolder/check the driver transistors on that board.

I had the same kind of issues. I cleaned all the bulb socket contacts and reflowed the header pins.
