Clearly it isn't my night tonight. I have a gorf which seems to be playing as it should however there is a noticible hum in the speakers and now there are two very thick lines vertically on the monitor (actually horizontally since it is a vertical orientation game). I'm leaning towards a power issue due to the speaker hum, but all the DC voltages seem ok coming off the power supply. has anyone seen this before?

edit: the bars are not actually stationary. They slowly scroll from right to left.

Well I went ahead and replaced the monitor, since the monitor in it had recently been capped already I didn't want to just shotgun a new cap kit in. the same symptoms. It hums pretty loud so I'm thinking there may be some ac or ground issues but I've neve seen it coming through the video like this.

I would get the Arcadeshop switcher replacement. I'm generally a proponent for linear supplies, but these Midway games have very suspect ones and I don't know of any drawback to running a switcher instead like the Atari or Williams games.

Pull all of your boards out of the stack and clean the edge connectors on each one. Make sure your connectors on the back plane are clean and don't contain any debris.

Just brainstorming here... Does your power board have the original caps? If so, they may be letting some AC through. I think Bob Roberts sells a rebuild kit if you want to go that route but it will cost money to find out if that is the issue.
