Who would be a good person to diagnose this or who does board repair for Gorf?

It talks and the game will start but the player immediately dies.

Has a new power supply with correct voltages.

Thanks in advance!

Probably RAM or Pattern board. But suspect RAM.

There is a test rom out there that I believe tests the ram. Besides that you are left with trying different cards. I swear if I get another working set, I am keeping it just for this reason.

Yeah, it's one of the RAM boards. Here is the direct link to the diagnostic program.

Good luck!

Sometimes you can find "non working" cheap ram sets on Ebay for Wizard of Wor and Gorf....usually in a pile like that, SOME ram boards will work....if the price is cheap enough, take a plunge and buy it....WoW RAM will work in Gorf.....and WoW is a good sister game to have sitting around to help troubleshoot each other....for times like this....

I did that tactic once and fixed my Gorf that way...might have to try the RAM boards one by one until you get it right...but can work..then up to you if you want to fix the other boards...

My bad, I always get my ROM/RAM confused. The kit does allow you to remove that board. High score save is a plus no matter what else happens.
