Damn! I had this machine pretty much restored about 3 months ago when all hell broke loose. My wiring harness was f'ed and my video went out, Riptor helped me several times with those things, then my sound and power board went out, I tried a rebuild, but it was still f'ed, so Elutz graciously helped me with that. Thanks Mike and Ed, you guys are awesome. Then when I tried to take the leg leveler plates off to restore them, they were so rusted to the bottom of the machine that I ripped huge chunks of the floor out. I had to glue the pieces back in, bondo, sand, bondo, sand again, then redrill the plate/foot holes. For now, the old ones are polished up and installed, but they are so pitted that I have to get new ones. With my son's help, I installed all the innards last night, routed all the wiring and cleaned it up this morning and slid it into place. Man it looks good in its new home, don't you agree?

It looks good. Glad it's up and running......and thanks for the kind words in the feedback section!

After it was in there, I decided that I didn't like the overpowering wash of the lower marquee lights so I swapped them out with CFL BLB's:

Looks great as always, very nice selection of games in the outer limits!

Awesome room, glad the Gorf is back up and running. What kind of back light do you have on the Galaxian, it looks great. Fluorescent like Ms Pac?

Nice! since your a tinkering kind of guy, I wonder if you had a thought of adding some lights behind the louvered monitor glass lockdown bar..

With all the light bulbs already in the cab, you would figure midway would have added a few to light up the control panel a bit..

Wow, finally! Sucks you had all the problems but glad you got it running!

And yeah, so much better looking with the blb's! I even ended up blocking the clear section of the bottom marquee to help keep things darker.

Thanks guys. The Galaxian HAD CFL BLB's but I swapped them with the Gorf lower marquee. For now. Never thought about lighting up the louvres. As to the next 2 games, Space Invaders Deluxe and my Multi-Williams. I've given up on a Mad Planets.

Man, those walls look amazing!!

Edward

Thanks Ed. I can't wait to mount the black lights on the ceiling. I will be putting some light boxes and blinking lights up too, to make it look more like the observation deck of a spaceship/space station. It all takes time.
