You guys remember the CD-I - what a worthless, extremely overpriced pile of shit. I found this for $1 at "The Goodwill" this week: VOYEUR.

The disc, instructions, and jewel case look untouched, but the cardboard isn't perfect. I couldn't believe this turned up around here, I really wish they had the rest of the system to go with it, but hey, this will get tucked away and maybe someday I'll play it.

Pretty cool from wiki:
"Voyeur was released when the American video game industry was under an investigation by the United States Congress for the level of violence and sexually suggestive themes in video games. The result of these investigations was the creation of the independent Entertainment Software Ratings Board to rate all video and computer games sold in the United States of America. However, Night Trap received more attention than Voyeur during these proceedings. It was also reviewed by the BBFC who attributed an 18 rating." Full Wiki Page

I love finding stuff like this. I don't see any copies of it on ebay right now, I don't believe it's rare or worth much, but I'm glad they didn't filter it into the trash.

Notice how I trashed the system, then hoped someday I would get to play this game. LOL Wasn't this thing like $699 new? I'd own a CD-I, but it would have to be a thrift or garage sale find.

The CD-I had MANY iterations and games were really a secondary function.

I think you're thinking of the 3DO...which had a ridiculous price tag. I saved up for one at release, only to sell it because I couldn't afford the also overpriced games for the overpriced POS.

I got shafted this week at the A+ because the manager was in. I've never seen her there before. Usually I get lucky and find some games in with the music CDs, which ring up at 99 cents. Well the other people that work there either don't know its a game (even if it says Playstation on it) or they don't care. I found two PSOne games in the music CDs and also wanted to look behind the counter and found MORE PSOne games (and a Genesis). So I couldn't get away with getting the games at CD prices, so I put them back. $2 vs $5 is a big difference when you've only got $7 in your wallet.

I'm pretty positive the CD-I was overpriced as well - Maybe not $699 but it was pricey. The CD-I had some Paramount movies, weak learning games, and pretty weak regular games, and weak-sauce instructional videos - I think your 3DO was a better buy - At least that system had a few decent games. I'll take Road Rash over Compton's Encyclopedia, Learning Golf, or Mario's Hotel any day. :)

If you guys have time, they have the entire CD-I infomercial on Youtube - Hilarious. :)

I have one! Send it to me! Actually, I think it's in my binder of games, lol. I bought mine off ebay years ago for really great price...think I paid like maybe 80$ *shipped* for the whole shebang...

System, controllers, ~25 titles. Oh yeah...and like HALF of the games are in-store promo discs labeled NOT FOR RESALE. Dragon's Lair, Space Ace...all white face in-store promos..lol. I about died when I saw all of those promo discs..just like...what kind of fool sells those in a lot like that?!

Man, I have the exact same set... all white face promo discs too, about 25 titles as well. Maybe it was the same seller?
