I've seen a few stores around here that sell arcade games, and I was wondering which are the best to deal with? Some seem like showrooms, others like warehouses, but all seem to vary. Anyone have any experience with arcade retail in the St. Louis area?

I bought Mario Bros. from a game warehouse in Saint Charles (somewhere near Zumbehl Rd. IIRC). He had a decent selection of games new and old and I believe his prices were fair, definitely below retail. I did feel he was slightly dishonest about the game I bought, but was overall happy with the deal. Can't remember the name of the place though.

I went there today, it was pretty cool. He had lots of stuff at reasonable prices, the cheapest I've seen around here for most things.

Think the guys name is Bob, if that helps. He's pretty easy going and will let you raid his warehouse all you want. I almost bought a few parts games when I stopped by but had the Saturn, only had room for the game I agreed to buy.

Theres also a store in Saint Charles called "The Game Trader". Its basically a mom and pop kind of video gaming store, but he does occasionally have arcade games, or at least last time I was there he did. Havent stopped by in a few years though.

I met a guy named Jack and he seemed pretty nice.

I've been to The Game Trader, it's a good place for console games, but when I asked about the games he has and when he was ever going to get in more, he said the costs of importing things from Japan has gone up so much that he doesn't want to sell what he has until he has a definite supplier again.

Anyone know what's going on with D&D? I've been trying to call on a couple separate occasions, and apparently their number changed.

I haven't actually been to the actual place yet but Arcades N More seemed helpful and friendly on the phone. Occasionally, I browse their website and the game prices on certain games aren't too terrible for a retail place. I've been to Amini and their staff seem pretty cool and knowledgable. But be forwarned, they are an extremely expensive man cave supply place. You also may want to try Shaffer Distributing over on the hill in St. Louis city.
