Hey guys,

What are some good JAMMA racing games? Preferably ones that can be wired to use a joystick instead of a steering wheel. I would love to have Cruis'n USA, but I think it needs a steering wheel if I am not mistaken. I'm looking for some racing fun for my UNES supergun :D

Thanks

Good suggestion, but I am looking for something more like Chase HQ or Top Speed. Anything like that for JAMMA?

Thanks

MOST of the "better" racing arcade games will not be jamma, as the jamma standard was intended for two joysticks with three buttons each per player, and not an analog steering wheel. Unless the racing game was designed specifically to be played with a joystick, as with a neo geo system game (mentioned by the other poster), it will not be enjoyable even if it is convenient to use in a jamma cabinet...

Let alone it would just straight up suck if played with a joystick.

Yea, some of the older racing games would be fine with a joystick, but most really do need a steering wheel. I figure a simple game like Top Speed would work fine, but I would have to find or make an adapter for my JAMMA connector. Anyone know where I could find a premade adapter that would work for Taito's Top Speed to save me some time?

Thanks

How's that contraption work? Does it play the NES cart or the Jamma board? Just curious, because I built an arcade cabinet which played NES, SNES, and Genesis carts with arcade controls. One of my favorite NES games (which I played the shit out of with a joystick) was Super Sprint by Tengen.

Lol, you must be referring to my UNES :D
It is basically just a NES with supergun components built into the back of it. I am currently in the process of making an adapter to use my Neo-Geo joystick with NES games as well as arcade. Should be fun to play NES games with a real joystick ;)

I would like to play Top Speed with it too, since it is pretty much just a better looking Rad Racer, lol.
