So, I just called up a local glass shop to get a price quote on making a repro piece of glass for my Asteroids cocktail...I got a quote of $130 to $150!

www.onedayglass.com can do it for $46.33, but shipping is $31...Anyone know a better place online? Should I just keep looking locally?

Best I've been able to find local is $88+tax *without* polished edges ($108+tax with polished/penciled edges)...$96 from someone else polished (not penciled).

Anyone know of any place to get cheaper glass for an Atari cocktail? Did some searching on google/ebay and didn't find anything...But, I also didn't find the repro table top that someone else linked me to eventually :).

Have you tried a picture Frame shop?

I did--was told that they typically don't deal with anything of that thickness (tempered is tricky too as they can't work it once it's tempered).

Maybe I should just get regular plate glass? I saw on another thread here that I would basically be a damned fool to not get tempered glass (I do have younger children that tend to bang on things)...

I emailed onedayglass.com to see if they have any cheaper shipping options. Hopefully I can work out something there...Maybe I'll even ask if we can get some kind of bulk buy deal if there are others out there that want to buy some new glass for their Atari cocktail of similar dimensions (sounds like there might at least be a few out there).
