I just got a eprom programmer and am looking for a good place to buy chips. I've found a few places on the net but prices dont seem that great. right now Im specifically looking for a bunch of M27C4001-10F1 as alot of my games use that chip. Mouser wants 8 bucks each! I tried ebay but not very many there. Anyone have a good source for IC chips?

I have some up on my site... not many though... I do have a bunch in backstock, I just haven't gotten the site updated yet.

27C040-10 will work in place of those too.

Cool thanks for the info! I just checked your site and both thoes chips say their on back order. How many of each do you have? I might take them all. It seems weird this chip is so hard to find since most Midway games from the 90's use it! I can only find them in China and I dont want to deal with customs BS and wait a month to get em!

I've ordered from EPROM Man ( http://www.epromman.com/ )... good prices and quick shipping.

I usually keep an eye out for assorted EPROM lots on ebay when I start to run low though (but not with an immediate need)... that way I'm not always chasing a specific EPROM. I just buy lots of assorted mixes, so I have a good assortment on hand, and they're usually cheap.

I've used him as well with decent success. They're used pulls and come in 'bundles' so you would need to clean them up and do some pin straightening. Typical yield I've found is around 90-95%. Good guy to do business with too.

I'll check tonight and PM you.

Yep... epromman.com, FTW

dirty pulls, so you'll have to clean and erase them, but for the price you can't beat him....

I've found the more money you spend, the better chips you get... heh. I've gotten NOS in tubes several times instead of stacked pulls... *score*

Has anybody gotten any from him lately? I've tried and not gotten a response or a strange email saying the site is down.

Recent order as well. Maybe he slows down over the holidays?

I guess I'll have to take inventory and figure out what I need. I bought a bunch of odd sized lots on Ebay so I am not sure what I am short on right at the moment.
