pls let me know if someone here has a good website or place(perferably DFW area) to buy smaller LCDs or any ideas. im just using for monitor so no casing/frame really needed!

thanks

that's good advice and links!

i would think someone here knows where to get "naked", without any casing/plastic frame, LCDs somewhere besides AS and Happ???

just so exspensive at both places around $350, when you can get a 19" LCD monitor with a frame for $120 with a VGA input!!!

maybe someone here has dismantled an LCD monitor casing before with opinions???

What do you plan on using for a frame to mount it with once you take it out?

Once you put it behind a bezel, nobody is going to know whether it is naked or framed.

The issue isn't whether or not it's got a frame... its whether or not monitor bios will let it sync to CGA and rescale it up to the native panel resolution.

It always annoyed me that the dell 20" panels w/ SVHS and composite inputs wouldn't sync to CGA spec on the VGA in even though it's obviously capable...

the 20 different ones are just the regular screen and not the widescreen, correct? i guessing the widescreen monitors would stretch it or just look wierd???

i guess it just looks better without the casing to me and i know they sell(Happ) those!
