Well I avoided all the "stay away messages", with these games, and I got suckered into buying a non-working one. Well, all I had to do was cash in my beer and pop cans for a week and was able to buy it, so I couldn't resist. LOL..

Its the very first series of machines with this system, 1977 Cleopatra. The machine is in very good condition actually. Its been HUO for the last 25 years believe it or not. (another reason I bought it). Only had minimal battery damage, that I was able to clean up pretty good.

I have changed all the plug connectors, wired in a remote battery, did some ground mods, and by doing that I got it to 'boot up' now. The displays work excellent, and I can actually play a game if I override the game over relay. The game over relay cuts the power to the flippers, slingshots, and pop bumpers. The chimes work, and 1 coil/relay works.

Few issues I am having tho, is that there is a few vital relays still not working, and the CPU controlled lighting isn't working.

Coils not working (that have power to them BTW)- game over relay, tilt relay, stand up target reset coil, 1 of the kick out coils (but the other works?).
Also the CPU controlled feature lights don't work, all I have is the GI lights.

What do you guys think? Driver board issues? But I have no CPU controlled lights? All the proper voltages are at the power supply. ARGH! heheh... I don't really want to spend 200 bucks and give up buying a NiWumph! All the boards are in prestine condition with no burn and I want to keep it as original as possible.

Heres a couple of pics. (I was re-pinning the connectors when I took this pic so there is no connection from CPU to driver board)

The general rule of thumb is to look at the connectors. I re-pinned all the connectors on my first Sys1 and even though I thought I was uber methodical, I ended up getting some wires crossed that took me awhile to figure out. You might want to look up the wiring diagram and do some tracing to make sure things are where you expect them to be.

Before you buy a new driver board, see if you can borrow someone else's board to test. It may not be the driver board.
