Hey! I have a web development company and we have a Punch-out, SPO and a PC10. When we are taking breaks, we play them! I am looking for more games that are fun, but games only last a few minutes and are possibly timed. SPO is great because we compete for best times and scores. It's also nice because it does not let you continue indefinitely by dumping in coins (like TMNT, Simpsons, Narc etc).

Will probably pick up a MK 1+2 this year. No interest in Mame because they boot up to slow and I like the smell of real games ;)

Thank you!

Believe it or not - Quadrapong. I know two or three companies that have one (along with other types of games like you mentioned) and they tend to have quite a few guys who love playing some Pong Doubles against each other. A lot of trash talking goes on. The other games seem to be played a lot less...

Well Everybody knows how brutishly difficult donkey kong is. A minute to learn a lifetime to master.

What about Pacman or ms. Pacman? Maybe a DK. Not timed but most people aren't really that good at them and you could set them with just a few Lives. Asteroids and Asteroids Deluxe are also games that people can die off quickly.

Best game I can think of thats timed and 2 players is Marble madness but they aren't that cheap anymore.

That reminds me I need to get the caps ordered for my Quadrapong's TV. :D

I just set up and gave a 60 in 1 to a non profit radio station...

and it is used non stop by staff and volunteers!

It is set up on free play - put a large sign how to select a game and they were good to go....

I brought my Dig Dug into work and it's a big hit. Just enough strategy to make people want to learn more, but game times are only 2-4 minutes on average. For them. I totally last about 4 1/2 minutes.

I had a Popeye in my office for some time and people loved it. Its also a pretty hard game that doesn't last very long.

Ghost n Goblins - then you can have competitions to see who can make it to level 2. Most games only last about 15 seconds and the rage you get from playing it can be vented into some serious marathon coding :)

Multwilliams

Multiwilliams has lots of fast challenging games - robotron, defender, stargate and has bubbles which my wife and daughter love - and joust with two player simultaneous play.
