...of course there's only one circuit in the attic so the breaker's probably going to blow the first time I try to fire anything up... but it's a start...

A nice start indeed!

I see the Atari power brick - are you planning on testing some Atari boards? :)

Also I've got the very same test monitor in the attic as a back up!

Nice setup. Isn't it HOT up there in the attic? I would die if I worked in mine, especially with any equipment running.

I scored the steelcase bench this weekend... I'm hoping to track down the hutch/shelf for it now... atari power brick's a color vector brick for bench testing 6100s... i'll prob throw an ARII on with it to natively power vector boards, since I don't have a decent bench supply.

I've got 2 of those sony 13" monitors... had a 19, but it took up too much space... I've got a commodore and a applecolor RGB as backups. For some reason the sony doesn't like to sync to nintendos...

I picked up the tek x-y displays last year, but haven't done anything with them yet... i'll prob calibrate one for colors and one for B&W so I don't have to tweak settings all the time. It'll be nice to be able to probe boards w/ the 2445 scope with the display up on the little teks.

The real question is how fast I'll get annoyed with the crappy eprom/CPLD burning computer when I try to view PDFs on it...

Being that it's uninsulated (although VERY well insulated from the rest of the house) 'too hot' will stop being an issue *very* soon...

cool setup.

I found an AT power supply in my attic earlier this summer, unfortunately, I left it in the attic before the Mrs. rearranged things up there. now I have to find it again.

Very nice indeed! :beerchug: I'd love to have all that equipment just to play around with... not sure if I'd fix anything though. :)

I don't know man... I think you need another analyzer :)
Its all so.... _clean_
makes me want to go organize my shop... well almost anyway!

nice setup man
nice MIT AV cart/table.
is that a five finger discount. lol

actually guys i am sure he will be freezing very soon, and the heat will not be much of a prob maybe only for a week or 2.

The bench is nice. Congrats again on the house! I'm supposed to be cleaning my office right now. But of course I am on here instead...

MIT's got a 'reuse' mailing list for when people throw stuff out that others may find useful... that's just one of 3 MIT A/V cars I grabbed a few years back, but the others have been put into service in my old lab, and telling people to tear down their lab setups so I can grab my carts back would probably be frowned upon :(

Wow, that looks like a lot of room up there. You mean to tell me I have more space than I thought in my house? I supposedly have an attic and the (painted over) entrance to it is within one of my room's closets. I say supposedly because I have never accessed it before. I'm a little afraid to open it up for fear there may be a large rat staring me in the face when I poke my head in. Either that or bones from dead animals lying all over the place.

Lots of room for parts shelving it looks like.

And figures you're a lefty...

It looks so nice and clean, for some reason I thought you had more equipment then that. Definately a nice score on the steelcase workbench.
Did I miss a different post where you are putting your games?

Luke

My workbench has slowly grown over the years. I need to start from scratch and rebuild to suit all the stuff I didnt have when I first set it up.

Man your going to be hating life working in the attic! Got a couple window units up there?
Good luck getting everything set up and running.

Up in Massachusetts isn't he going to need a space heater soon instead of window units? :)
