There's one on CL here..the guy is aking 3k for it!!

I checked Bostonpinball, I can't beleive the average prices on this pin are really 1300-ish? Is that right? We had one in my house as a kid, I'd love to let my kids experience it, but there's no way I'm paying that for it.

Was just wondering if you guys really feel like Cyclone warrants that price tag...and I mean 1400$, not 3000$ LOL.

The average price for this year is actually 1,936 :p

Isn't that for Jan-Nov 2011? Don't think BP's been updated since nov, or I'm using an old link.

But even if it is, that's CRAZY. There's no way that's a 2k game. I have fond memories of it, but that ferris wheel is the biggest stop-and-go thing EVER. Ugh.

2K seems about right. Still one of my favorites of all time. Great theme fantastic sounds for the time.

Yes, but thats what I meant by last year. Other avg is last 5 years

Well, if you rebuild the machine with a new playfield and plastics from CPR, and re-stencil the cabinet, I can see someone paying big money for it.

I know one here recently sold on the CL for $1,700. It is pretty insane for a system 11 but when machines are no longer made and gettign harder to find, while still being equally fun to play...they go up in price.

I think there is one on Houston CL for about $2K.

Price seems high to me, but Cyclone is one of the better System 11 games (aside from the creepy clowns).

Space Shuttle, Cyclone... you have some pricey wanted games on your must-have list. I guess it could be worse, you could be dead set on getting a CV, TZ, or TAF. I wonder how long the $4.5K TZ will be on Houston CL? :D

Well, Shuttle wouldn't be pricey if I hadn't bought the repro playfield....but it's not like I got a nice looking machine for 500$ either. I think my wife has rubbed off on me, I can't accept half-assed things anymore lol.

Honestly, Cyclone's pretty low on my list, but it has a very high nostalgia factor...but not enough to warrant a 2k pricetag. I'd rather pick up Space Station. And for 2k I could get either a REALLY nice one, or buy a decent working one and HSA's clearcoated playfield that has the super-nice (IMO) Sun Process coloring...

Well, just remember this one simple thing when it comes to value.

An item is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it.

In the recent past these were selling for $800-$1000 on average with extremely nice ones going for $1200-$1400.

This year pin prices are getting crazy. I am having a hard time finding sys11 and WPC games at the price points I use to pay. I blame this on the pricing of the new games coming out, especially the limited edition Stern games, Magic Girl, Wizard of Oz, etc.

I agree with others, the value isn't there for $2000. Last year I passed on one for $900. The guy was trying to package it with a PinBot for $1700 for the two. Looking back, I should have done it.

Wow 2k for cyclone.. really? dam I better grab the couple other 80's
pins I want before I cant afford them:) Bk2k is almost 2k it seems now.

Wow! Now I feel really good about buying one at an auction last year for $400. :D

I've managed to get a complete set of ramps and a new set of repro plastics. Now I just need the time and space to clean it up.

A local shop here gets $2500 to $3000 for a cleaned up Cyclone. And doesn't have a hard time getting it on ebay. This is probably what is raising the Boston pinball YTD average (which i believe is a moving average over the last 12 months, not for the current year only.) It's kind of a shock that a Cyclone could sell for that much, giving it's the last single ball game ever made (no multi-ball.) But the game does ring for a lot of people.

Pretty sure that dishonor belongs to Bad Cats, about a year later. Personally, for me, if there's one pin that really shows that a single ball game can be fun, it's Bad Cats. Talk about a game I'd love to find for $1000. I hope CPR can get all the inserts they need to finish their repro playfield. Would love to find one a few years down the road that someone's already done the swap on. :)
