I recently got a World Rally game for free, not working.

It needed a power supply, wich I had. Got the thing working and boy does it suck. I would love to have a cool driving game, but this just aint it. Any suggestions on a good driving game that I can put in here. A swappable one would be nice, but I can re-wire if needed. Thanks.

only the best: cruis n usa, at least you got a working 25inch monitor for free

Gotta politely disagree on Cruisin USA and say Daytona USA. The Mario Kart Arcade game is pretty badass as well...

I love me some Speed Buggy and TX-1.

F-Zero AX is pretty rad as well.

Speed Buggy looks good. It reminds me of Pole Position. TX-1 looks like it needs 3 monitors. And F-Zero looks awesome, but probably out of my range for a conversion.

Cruisin USA & Daytona look pretty similar. Both might be doable. As for Mario Kart, I'm not a big Mario fan. The only driving games I used to play were Night Driver and Pole Position. So I'm kind of new to the drivers.

can't put cruis'n or daytona since they are medium rez(Plus you won't have feedback steering). That cabinet should be standard rez.

About the only easy game your going get in there is badlands.

You r best best is to ditch the steering controls and convert it into a fighting game.. Either that or rotate the monitor and make it into a 60 in 1.

What do you mean by med rez? The monitor can't handle the resolution of those games?
I already have 2 MAME cabs so I don't want another multi. I really would like a driver. My kids like this one a bit. This cab actually came with another gutted cab

So I do have a nice fighting cp with all the buttons & sticks.

Is there no shifter? Can't tell. You could put some other crappy drivers in like Final Lap, Over Drive, etc...

I agree with Modessit. I havent played a Final Lap game in awhile but, IIRC, its fun, its cheap and its JAMMA. Try to go as late in the series as you can, like Final Lap 3.

You can always search the database for racing games. Just search for anything mid 1980's to mid 1990's, most of those will be JAMMA and standard res.

Yes, there is a shifter on it, along with the steering wheel & player start button and gas pedal.

Lucky & Wild looks great, but I would need guns. Final lap has a 4 position shifter (mine is 2) and 2 pedals (I got 1).

This is my first jamma cab, so I thought it would be an easy swap to change games. So thanks for all the suggestions.

most of the cool newer drivers that are jamma are medium rez or higher.

Those that are standard rez tend to have custom wiring. world rally is a standard rez game. I think california speed might be able to go bboth standard and medium rez, but you will still have control issues..

Your cabinet is dynamo which can easily rotate the monitor and find replacement control panels. You can pull the steering controls off and you will find a prepunched control panel underneath.

I would recommend making your cabinet into something you like other than a driver. Or sell it and buy a driver.

You can always put a Road Riot 4x4 board in there. No shifter, though you will need the yokes with trigger buttons.
